What should your scout be doing now?

Homework, homework, homework!  Be sure to talk to your scout about what is expected of him.  If he doesn't remember, then have HIM call the counselor, they all gave out their contact information, and have him ask the counselor what he should be doing.

If he wants to earn the blue card by Saturday, it should be a priority for him to do this.

Updates on Class Totals as of March 2

Electricity at 10 am now has only 2 spots left in it.

I know many of you have talked to me personally saying you are going to register.  I haven't seen your registration yet and the classes are filling up.  Please make it a priority today to get your registration in to me.

If you son signed up for Communications be sure to get online and find out when your next city meeting is.  Don't wait, you just might miss it!

I just wanted to let everyone know about our Merit Badge Counselors.  The people who are teaching each class are experts in the fields they are teaching.  For example, the Electricity Merit Badge is taught by an Electrician who owns his own business.  The Citizenship classes are taught by people who have either served in the government at some point or are currently working in a field in conjunction with these topics.  Environmental Science is by a lady who specializes in that field.  Surveying is by men who work in this field.  As you can see, the knowledge and information that will be taught to your son is not by someone who just says, "Oh sure, I can teach that class."

Also, this Pow-wow is not the kind where we just say, "Oh, you showed up to class?  Well then, here is the blue card."  Roll will be taken, assignments will be checked and if the work is not done, the blue card will not be issued.  We are not in the practice of handing out blue cards to boys who choose not to do the work.  This IS a quality Pow wow and your boy should come away learning a wealth of knowledge.
